Met at the airport and taken to your hotel.
Eight Nights, Cairo and the Dahabiya
Cairo · Luxor · Esna · Edfu · Gebel el-Silsila · Kom Ombo · Aswan · Cairo
The programme, day by day
- 4 nights aboard
- 4 nights ashore
- 7 temples
The same two halves as the seven-night package, taken in the other direction and with a day more at Luxor. You fly south to Luxor rather than Aswan, which gives the west bank and Karnak a day each instead of sharing one, and then sail south with the current to Aswan. Abu Simbel is open to you on the last morning before the flight back to Cairo.
The pyramids, the Sphinx and the museum, then the flight south. The night is spent in a Luxor hotel.
The Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's terraces and the Colossi of Memnon. A second night in Luxor.
Karnak in the morning, then south to Esna and aboard for lunch.
Edfu early, and a village on the bank in the afternoon.
The gorge, the long reach south, and Kom Ombo at dusk.
Into Aswan, and across to Philae.
Disembark after breakfast. Abu Simbel can be arranged for the morning; then the flight north and a last night in Cairo.
On to the airport.
Priced per person, double occupancy. Hotel category can be adjusted up or down.
