We meet you in Luxor and take you across to the house that will be yours for the first part of the week. The evening is spent there.
Seven Nights, a Luxor House and the Dahabiya
Luxor · Esna · Edfu · Gebel el-Silsila · Kom Ombo · Aswan · Luxor
The programme, day by day
- 4 nights aboard
- 3 nights in a house
- 6 temples
Egypt from two directions at once. Three of these nights are spent in a local house on the west bank at Luxor — not a hotel, a house, with the family who live in it — and four are spent aboard the dahabiya between Esna and Aswan. It is the version of this trip for people who want the temples and also want to know what a Thursday evening in a Luxor village sounds like.
The Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut and the Colossi, and back to the house for the night.
Karnak in the morning, then south to Esna and aboard for lunch. We sail in the afternoon.
Edfu early, sailing through the middle of the day, a village on the bank in the afternoon.
The gorge in the morning, Kom Ombo at the end of the day.
Into Aswan, and across to Philae in the afternoon.
Disembark after breakfast and return to Luxor, to the house, for the last night.
Breakfast, and on to the airport or the station.
Priced per person, double occupancy. The house sleeps a limited number, so this one books early.
Ashore and aboard.
