Seven Nights, Cairo and the Dahabiya
Cairo · Aswan · Kom Ombo · Gebel el-Silsila · Edfu · Luxor · Cairo
The programme, day by day
- 3 nights aboard
- 4 nights ashore
- 2 internal flights
The shortest way to see both halves of Egypt. Two nights in Cairo bracket the trip — the Giza plateau and the museum at the start, a night by the airport at the end — and between them you fly south to Aswan and sail north to Luxor. Every internal flight, transfer and guide is arranged, so the only thing you book is the one arriving flight.
The pyramids and the Sphinx in the morning, the museum after, and the evening flight south. The night is spent in an Aswan hotel.
Philae by motorboat, then aboard for lunch and the first afternoon on the water.
Kom Ombo, and a long afternoon under sail.
The gorge, a village on the bank, and the temple of Horus.
Disembark after breakfast for the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut. The night is spent in a Luxor hotel.
Karnak in the morning, then the flight back north and a last night in Cairo.
On to the airport, whenever your flight goes.
