Built by hand,
sailed by heart.
The Nile Spirit is not a ship from a yard. She is a dahabiya from Esna — shaped by river carpenters, rigged by river sailors, and run by people whose families have read this water for generations.

A boat the river recognises.
We began with a conviction: that the finest way to see the Nile was invented two centuries ago and needs no improving — only care. So we built a dahabiya the old way, in hand-worked wood and hand-woven linen, and gave her the comforts the old boats never had: full-beam suites, warm stone baths, a chef's galley, a glass salon.
We sail whenever the wind allows. Under sail, the loudest thing aboard is the water.
Twelve crew, twenty-four guests at most.
Master of the sail
Reads this reach by heart — its winds, its islands, its quiet moorings — as his family has for generations.
Your scholar
Walks you through every temple before the crowds arrive, and reads the walls the guidebooks skip.
Chef & stewards
A chef, stewards and housekeeping for a handful of cabins — tea before you ask, the table set to the light.
